The Ella Johnson Memorial Public Library District serves a population of over 16,000 and covers an area of over 100 square miles. The district includes all of Hampshire Township, plus areas of Burlington, Plato and Rutland Townships. LOAN PERIODSThe loan period on most materials is three weeks. Feature film DVDs are available for 2 days and nonfiction and educational DVDs are available for one week. Magazines are available for one week. There is a three day grace period for all print materials with the exception of interlibrary loans. RENEWALSLibrary materials are usually, but not always, renewable. Non-renewable items include all feature film DVDs, interlibrary loan materials, materials on reserve for another patron, and materials that have already been renewed once. FINESThe fine for overdue DVDs is $1.00 per day, per item. The fine for all other overdue materials is $.10 per day, per item. RESERVESAll library items may be reserved with the exception of magazines. INTERLIBRARY LOANMaterial not owned by the Ella Johnson Library may be ordered through interlibrary loan. The library is a member of the Prairie Area Library System, which is the primary source for interlibrary loan material. BOOK DROPS The library provides books drops in four locations: COMPUTER SERVICES The Internet, word processing and spreadsheet software is available on library computers. Registration at the circulation desk is required. Internet users must present a valid card issued by the Ella Johnson Library or pay a $2.00 user fee. An express machine is available by non-cardholders free of charge for a limited time period of 15 minutes. COPYING AND FAXING
